Boutique Records and SueCo Music Publishing are owned and managed by Ron and Sue Irving. Their dedication to the music business and to each other is truly inspirational to anyone embarking on a music project. Ron Irving has had a 30 year career in Canadian Country Music, is a member of the B.C. Country Music Hall of Fame, has had international hits from China to Germany.
After sixteen years as Senior Administrator at SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) Sue is now dedicated to working full time with Ron in recording and publishing their catelogue as well as representing other select writers. Ron and Sue also teach songwriting and hold workshops that encompass songwriting and publishing.

"STANDING STRONG and TRUE (For Tomorrow)" written by Ron Irving, Lynda McKillip & Tom McKillip has been nominated for "SOCAN Song of the Year" by the B.C. Country Music Association. The BCCMA Awards Weekend, November 19 & 20th will be held at the Red Robinson Theatre located at 2080 United Blvd, Coquitlam, BC! A Demo Critque Session & Songwriters Showcase will also be presented by the BC Country Music Association and sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Canada (SAC) on Saturday, Nov 19th in the Media Room at the Red Robinson Theatre. Ron Irving will moderate and songwriters are invited to submit songs to be critiqued by a panel of music industry reps. Come and learn what key points are needed to get that song cut and on the radio! Find out what the artist, producer, publisher and radio programmer look for in a song. Bring your song on CD or play it live along with 5 copies of the lyrics. Lyric sheets are mandatory. As many songs will be critiqued as time allows. Panelists are Sue Irving (SueCo Music Publishing); AJ Woodworth, (Recording Artist 604 Records); Lynda McKillip (songwriter- McKiller Music Productions); & Curtis Pope (Program Director Country Radio 107.1).

"STANDING STRONG and TRUE (For Tomorrow)" video to be featured at Gala Dinner.
During the CCMA Gala Dinner, held Sunday evening, Sept 11, the video presentation of the song "Standing Strong & True (For Tomorrow)" will be featured. Ron and Sue will attend with Lynda McKillp and their special guests, Colonel Pat Stogran, Canadian Forces Veterans' Ombudsman; Lt. Colonal Scott Attridge and Major Jim McKillip.
The song was co-written by Ron Irving with Lynda & Tom McKillip. The song and video were recorded during Canadian Country Music Week 2010, in Edmonton, Alberta, on September 10 & 11 with many of Canada's Country Music recording artists and producers donating their time and voices to create the DVD and CD recording of "Standing Strong and True." All sales are donated to the families of our fallen Canadian soldiers through the Military Families Fund and Boomer's Legacy.
Ron performing at Nashville's legendary BLUEBIRD CAFÉ - Sunday Sept 18th!!
During our upcoming business trip to Nashville, Ron will be performing at The Bluebird Café! Ron was one of the producers and songwriters for the first "Canadian NIght at the Bluebird" in 1994 and eventually went on to bring "The Bluebird" to Vancouver while a director of the Songwriters Association of Canada.
Merritt Music Festival Back for 2011!
Songwriters "Boot Camp" and Performances were featured at music festival.
Merritt Mountain Music Festival was back this year after a one year hiatus and featured songwriters each day through the BC Country Music Association and Music BC sponsored "Boot Camps & Songwriters Circles". Sue & Ron Irving, along with Music BC Executive Director Bob D'Eith, discussed the 'business of music' covering topics on song structure, copyright, revenue streams, music in film & TV, as well as critiqued songs provided by attendees. This business session was followed by songwriters circles featuring professional songwriters along with up & coming singer/songwriters who performed their original songs to a terrific listening audience.
